My name is Madison Lavelle, and I’m the 2019 Accounting/Internal Audit/Finance Intern!

I sometimes find it difficult to answer the question “Where are you from?” because I’ve moved around for most of my life. I was born in Scottsdale, Arizona and then moved to a small town outside of Atlanta, Georgia. After that, my family and I lived in Canada for about three years. We then decided to move back to Georgia and have been there for the last 12 years. I was given the opportunity to go out of state for college and happily accepted admission to The University of South Carolina – the real USC! 😉 I’m an accounting major with a minor in information technology and hope to pursue an accelerated masters of accountancy in the fall semester.

As much as I love South Carolina, I was ready to tackle a new experience, which is why I decided to apply for an internship with Tanger Outlets in Greensboro, North Carolina. Additionally, I wanted to gain some real world accounting experience and learn what it’s really like to do accounting for a publicly traded company. Although I’ve only been with Tanger for a few weeks now, I’m already learning so many great things and beginning to apply what I’ve learned in my college courses to the working world. I’m excited to continue working here and can’t wait to experience all that there is to do in Greensboro, as well as what it means to work for Tanger!
